2019 Pinot Noir
Aromas of graham cracker dust and fruit aromas of red currant, red cherry and pomagranate with hints of fresh flowers and savory tomato skin edge. It also has a Pommard-like undercurrent of mossy earth and clay.
On the palate, tart red fruit leads with cranberry, pomegranate and cherry and the slightest hints of cola. Orange zest typical of this wine is also present along with walnut shrub, toasted vanilla, cedar and Chinese 5 spice with suggestions of hibiscus. Framed with a Burgundian-like structure and tension, it is best enjoyed now with cuisine and will develop and soften wonderfully over the next 10+ years.
"Aromas of baked strawberries, red cherries and dried herbs. Medium-bodied with silky tannins. Juicy and fresh. Mineral finish." -James Suckling
"...sings of black cherries, cranberry preserves, and pomegranate plus nuances of roses, forest floor, and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate is delicately played and refreshing, with soft tannins and nuanced red berry flavors, finishing bright and cheery." -Lisa Perrotti-Brown
