2014 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon
The unique volcanic soils at 1350' on Atlas Peak are perfect for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.. The vineyards are all close-row planted, meaning everything is done by hand; no tractors. The vines struggle in proximity with each other as well as with the stony ground, producing less yield but wonderfully concentrated, complex flavors.
Aromas of blackberry, cassis and slightly smoky chocolate. The mouthfeel is polished and supple, with flavors of ripe plum, black currant and blackberry.
Winemaker, Victoria Coleman, added small amounts of Petit Verdot and Merlot for an added dimension of flavors and texture, and all the fruit comes from our own family vineyard on Atlas Peak.
