2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The nose has an inviting sweetness, almost a candied quality. Aromas of red and black currant, red licorice, lingonberry and meadow flowers with hints of toasty vanilla and sweet cinnamon. Luscious, with a real verve to the acidity that explodes the fresh red and black berry fruit onto the palate. Flavors of red currant, cherry, lingonberry, sour cherry candy, bay leaf and suggestions of cedar with whiffs of fresh lavender blossom on the finish. The tannins are integrated and supple that balance the brightness. Drinking beautifully now, its structure is poised to see it age well beyond a decade.
