2021 Pinot Noir
This vintage exhibits a deeper hue than the last few.
It has beautiful aromatics of flowers and Darjeeling tea over Bing and black cherry, pomegranate and currant. There are also suggestions of vanilla and cola along with white pepper and mandarin zest along with a sanguine note.
It has excellent precision and focus on the palate with wonderful, dancing acidity to balance the complexity of flavors that include cherries, pomegranate and even acai. There are also layers of floral tea, dried blood orange, clay pot and even 5-spice along with hints of cinnamon graham cracker. It remains lively through the finish and lingers nice and long. The composition should age wonderfully for a decade or more.
