2022 Chardonnay
The wine greets the nose with seductive aromas of fresh golden pear and apple with hints of tropical fruits and whiffs of sea air over a base of ripe Meyer lemon and suggestions of Keffir lime. There is a frame of well-integrated oak with aromas of roasted vanilla and brioche.
On the palate, it leads with vibrant acidity that awakens the taste buds with juicy flavors of pear, golden apple, MacIntosh apple, lemon zest, fresh pineapple and persimmon with bass notes of integrated oak vanillin and raw almonds with a zip of toasted hazelnut.
There is wonderful tension between the oak and the acidity providing mouth-watering juiciness that balances out the opulent frame. It should continue to evolve with more subtle nuance in 2 to 7 years from now. Don't hesitate to decant this white!
