2020 Rosé of Pinot Noir
Picked at 22 brix to retain freshness and vibrancy, the fruit was whole cluster pressed in 100% stainless steel. It was then aged for 6 months in half neutral oak barrels and half stainless steel tanks. The clones of Pinot Noir are generally used as a focus in sparkling wine, popular in Champagne. It thus makes a beautiful, zesty still wine.
Pale salmon with copper hints, this 100% Pinot Noir wine has delicate aromas of white peach skins, freshly picked strawberries and McIntosh apples. There are also faint hints of freesia. Both bright and luscious on the palate, it explodes with rose water and flavors of strawberry, Rainier cherry, pomagranate, crisp red apple and flinty minerality. It's mouthfilling yet juicy with fresh, crunchy fruit notes and cleansing acidity on the finish with suggestions of Kirschwasser. Another beautiful, bright Provencal expression from our Oak Knoll vineyard.
At 13% abv, it's a great and easy sipper anytime.
