2015 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Atlas Peak vineyards sit at 1350' elevation over the valley floor. The rocky vocanic soil produces a unique earthiness and extracted flavors. Because of the very light Cab yield in 2015, this wine is 76% Cabernet ( instead of our usual 85-90% Cab, with increased amounts of Merlot ( 19%) and Petit Verdot ( 5%) from the same vineyards.
The result is a juicy combination of black fruit, with a complex minerality, and cocoa on the long finish.
The increased Merlot makes the finish exceptionally silky. Only 150 cases produced.
